Welcome to the RoadByrne Blog. I’m Kathleen Byrne, Kate to friends like you, tired of the routine and looking for something new to do.
Living and traveling in my Winnebago is a great way to see the country and the world. Friends with travel blogs have been inspirational. So …. my turn!
I have been traveling and exploring my entire life. As a Certified International Tour Manager and freelance Travel Writer, I believe every day and every trip, large or small, should be an adventure and learning experience. In the past, I have led trips to Nepal, across the Chilkoot Trail in Alaska and along the Southwest Coastal Path in England. Additionally, I have proudly canoed in the Boundary Waters and been part of medical missionaries in Rwanda. It is a beautiful world!
This blog will be stories of my travels, present and past. As a nature lover, these stories will center on different things: inspirational people, quiet out-of-the way places, lovely wineries and more.
Currently, I am in southern New Mexico for a few months, on the road with several dogs, weaving through the back roads and smaller communities. A beautiful place; stories should be plentiful.
Come with me – let’s have fun!
